In the beginning before Sileby-Village.co.uk was born the site was known as Broadband-Sileby.co.uk helping to campaign to get broadband for Sileby exchange.

Some dedicated villagers decided to take it upon themselves in early 2002 to try to bring Sileby up to the 21st Century, after about a year Sileby hit the trigger level set by BT to make it viable enough for them to upgrade Sileby exchange.

After Sileby gained broadband on 14th August 2003 it was decided after consulting people on the forum that the site would be turned into a community site for the people of Sileby, Sileby-Village.co.uk was born, the site has undergone a few face lifts, this being the latest one, we hope you like the site, if you want to give us feedback please visit the forum.
